What is a super visa?

A super visa lets you visit your children or grandchildren for up to 5 years at a time. If you want to stay longer than 5 years you can apply for 2 years extension of Super Visa. It’s a visa that provides multiple entries for a period up to 10 years or till the validity of your passport.

There are specific requirements for a super visa, including the need for medical insurance. You must meet all the criteria to be eligible.

Parents of Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada can apply for Super Visas in order to travel to Canada and to be with their children for an extended period of time. Super Visas are usually issued for a period of 5 years. In order to obtain a Super Visa, applicants must also submit proof of health insurance.
